Ph. 298-0969 ‘“A lot of information in the literature about aging simply isn’t true,” reports Dr. Carl Eisdorfer, the Center’s research director, on the basis of findings by a staff headed by Dr. Ewald W. Busse in a 15-year study of over-60 volunteers both black and white, rich and poor. Duke was the first such regional center designated by the U.S. Public Health Service.
