Tesch of Eden have been called to serve in the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. They spoke at the Eden 2nd Ward on June 30. Elder Chris Zenger, son of Eric and Teri Zenger of Huntsville, has been called to serve in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission. He spoke at the Middlefork Ward on June 30. Elder Ronald E. Proctor Jr., son of Ronald E. Proctor and Tamara Proctor of Nordic Valley, has been called to serve in the Ventura, California Mission. He will be speaking at the Liberty 3rd Ward July 11. His main farewell will be at the Sullivan Hollow 2nd Ward on 33rd and Jackson on August 11 at 1:00 p.m. Returning Missionaries Elder Matthew Burton will be reporting on his mission to Mexico City South in the Middle Fork Ward on July 28, 2002, at 10:45 a.m. He is the son of Jeffry and Linda Burton of Huntsville. Justin Worth Petersen Justin Worth Petersen was born on June 6 to Marcy and Worth Petersen of Eden. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Everett R. Doman Everett R. Doman Everett R. Doman will be celebrating his 90th birthday with a family dinner later this month in Ogden. He was born July 27, 1912, in Welling, Alberta, Canada, to Charles T. and Helga C. Peterson Doman. After living in Canada for about 1-1/2 years, the family returned to Huntsville, Utah. He is a graduate of Weber County High School, Weber Jr. College, and Utah Agricultural College (now USU), with a degree in Wildlife Management. He married Gay Wangsgard, also raised in Huntsville, on December 2, 1938, in Salt Lake City. They were married for almost 62 years before Gay died September 25, 2000. Early career employment with the Utah Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit, and the Utah Department of Fish and Game, was followed by an extensive career with the U.S. Forest Service. As a Forest Service employee, Everett was transferred frequently and worked in numerous locations in Utah; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Washington, D.C.; Alamogordo, New Mexico; San Francisco, California; and a second assignment in Washington, D.C as Director of the Division of Wildlife Management. After a 31-year career with the U.S. Forest Service, he retired in December 1974, and moved to Ogden. Everett is a member of the National Wildlife Federation, American Forests, a 64-year member of the Wildlife Society, and a charter member (56 years) of the Society for Range Management. In 1999, he was awarded the Society for Range Management’s Sustained Lifetime Achievement Award. Locally, he is active with the Wasatch Audubon Society, the Golden Spike Gem & Mineral Society, Weber Historical Society, and the U.S. Forest Service Old Timers organization. Early in his retirement, Everett’s activities included rock hounding, lapidary, silversmithing, skiing, fishing, camping, backpacking, and wilderness trail riding. More recently, his interests and hobbies include traveling, gardening, reading, photography, and sports. He is an avid basketball fan, and enjoys following the Jazz and attending basketball and volleyball games at Weber State University. With his family, he also annually attends the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. His children are Mary Gay Doman of Ogden; Lois Doman-Rose of Partlow, Virginia; and Kathy Lang (husband Bill) of Fort Lupton, Colorado. He has 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Lang of Denver, Colorado; and Andrea Lang of Aurora, Colorado; 3 step-grandchildren; and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
