Valley with a unique home featured in the 2014 Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes. This is their fifth home featured in the Parade of Homes, this year’s custom design-built home is located in Huntsville. Peterson Builders has been in business since 1976, and built their first entry for the Parade of Homes in 1993. Peterson Builders was founded by Lynn Peterson of Eden, and is run today by his two sons— Jason and Ben Peterson. The company specializes in custom homes and remodel projects. This year’s home features a design that offers a different perspective and shows how the company has expanded their offering of home styles. “What an absolute delight and pleasure it was to find a builder who was open-minded and embraced our process, even though it was different,” stated homeowner Scot Kelly. “Because we were building from California, we were very pleased to be able to work out all of the details despite the distance,” added Judy Kelly. Scot and Judy Kelly, the owners of Builder Concepts, have used their eye for design to bring in elements of nature. This home boasts a 6,400 pound, solid-granite bathtub imported from Bali, Indonesia. It also includes custom carved stone and quartz sinks. They have been able to collect pieces over the years, each having their own story. All the fine details of this home have created a very unique space with Erik Johnson, also of Peterson Builders, has been closely involved with this project. He has used his master woodworking skills to highlight details in the home. He was able to transform and renew antique furniture and artwork into functional pieces. Peterson Builders and the Kelly’s have worked together over several years to create this home, which incorporates nature, brings different cultures of the world together, and creates a unique—yet inviting—living space. Their home is the only parade home from Ogden Valley this year, and it is one you do not want to miss visiting. Tickets can be purchased at the home during the Parade of Home event. The home is located at 7210 E. 700 N. in Huntsville.
