Learn about radio-tracking, food preparation, & race your fellow campers in tying a proper falconers knot. Get a sneak peak at wildlife care usually available for volunteers over the age of 18. Take a guided hike through the center & learn about the nocturnal creatures that inhabit the preserve at night. Songs, skits, & s’mores cap off the evening before you slumber under the stars. We provide the entertainment, drinks, s’mores, & breakfast. Bring your own tent, sleeping bags, mess kit, & a picnic dinner. Space limited to 8 families. Nature crafts, animal games, hands-on investigation activities & an overnight campout make this an adventure you won’t want to miss. Overnight campout starts at 6:00 p.m. Thursday & ends at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning. Dinner and breakfast are provided. Tents and sleeping bags are available for students who do not own them. This year, Trail Mixer attendees will enjoy a lovely evening filled with dinner, drinks, and music; along with live and silent auctions. September 7: “Color Me Amazing” @ Wolf Mountain. A children’s walk/run begins @ 4:00 p.m. followed by the Color 5K. Festival activities start @ 5:00 p.m. Activities include a dance party, food, prize drawings, and the Codi Jordan Band concert from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The cost for the Color 5K is only $25.00. Children seven and under are free. Each participant gets a reusable bag filled with goodies & their own color packet. Participants seven and under can purchase a swag bag at the event.
