Are you ready for Valley Elementary School’s us change lives for the good! Set aside ninth-annual Serve to Save Dinner and Silent Auction? The big event is scheduled for Thursday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Valley Elementary School gymnasium in Eden. This year we are helping our own Frazier and Faith Hardin’s baby, Ella, who has some critical issues to face and issues for which insurance will not pay. We also assisting The Red Cross of Northern Utah as they continue to help throughout our community and The Philippine Learning Center Initiative organized because there is no government assistance for these truly poverty stricken people. Remember the succulent dinner provided by Ogden Valley and Ogden’s finest eateries and restaurants? Remember how fun it was to have it served to you by a sixth-grade student? Remember how students ushered you to your seats, how others manned the silent auction, while still others emceed the program? Plan on attending so you can enjoy music, fine food, silent auction items, great entertainment, and, most important of all, experience the joy of extending a charitable act as you participate! One hundred percent of the proceeds from this annual event are used to help others. By participating in the event, sixth-grade students learn what it is to give of themselves without receiving, to see what charitable groups are already trying to accomplish through their humanitarian efforts, and work together in a common cause to benefit others—uniting their efforts in order to make big things happen. the evening of March 14 and purchase a $25 ticket for the dinner.
