Show The Ogden Valley news Page 6 Volume XX Issue X June 15, 2012 Announcements Wedding Richard and Laona Rowe Richard Eugene and Laona Kelly Rowe of North Ogden celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant on May 26. They were marRichard and Laona ried June 2, 1952 at Rowe First Christian Church in Ogden. Born and raised in Huntsville, he graduated from Weber High School and Salt Lake Barber College. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. His parents were Nicholas T. and Nancy V. Rowe. He was owner/operator of the Ben Lomond Barber Shop in Ogden, retiring in 1993 after serving the public for 39 years. He enjoys family time and events, antiques and shows, occasional travel and gardening. Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she moved to Ogden with family in 1949. Her parents were Joseph M. and Mabel M. Kelly. She graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College. She retired from McKay-Dee Hospital with 25 years of nursing service. Her interests are family time and events, antiques and shows, colored glass, occasional travel, and family history. They have resided in North Ogden for 55 years. Their children and spouses are Steve and Suzette Rowe, Salt Lake City; Sharon and Kelly Daneluk, Kaysville; and Scott Rowe, North Ogden. Richard and Laona have four grandchildren: Justin Rowe, Janessa Rowe, Jackson Daneluk, and Maddisen Daneluk. Birthdays Mark Afton Fuller Mark Afton Fuller of S. Ogden will celebrate his 80th birthday at an open house to be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at his home at 4149 S. 850 E. in South Ogden. Friends and family are welcome Mark Fuller to attend. Mark was born July 2, 1932 in Eden, Utah to George M. Fuller and Alida VanWoerkom Fuller. He married Renee Hill on April 26, 1955 in the Salt lake LDS Temple. She passed away September 7, 1985. He later married LeeAnn M. Clough on July 5, 1986 in Eden, Utah. He attended Weber County Schools. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years, and retired August 1, 1992. He has worked several other jobs: farming, construction, at Snowbasin, and for the government. He enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, and spending time on his farm in Eden. He has served in many callings in the LDS church, and has also served a mission with his wife LeeAnn at the Ogden Cannery from October 1998 to May 1999. Their children and their spouses are Rebecca (David) Welsh, Kevin (Staci) Fuller, Nena (David) Hill, James (Cindy) Clough, and David (Stephanie) Clough. He has 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Ruth Albright, 82, born September 7, 1929 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2012 under the compassionate care of Tammy from Alpine Hospice and the Meadows Staff at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in Ogden, Utah. Ruth is survived by her family: Ruthann and Jim Halay of Eden, Utah; Sandy and Bruce Karen Hoellein Karen Ann Weir Hoellein, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. She was born July 14, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Blaine and Betty Weir. She Karen Hoellein Rutherford lived in Montana and Germany, spending most of her life in the Ogden area. On September 24, 1971, Karen married the love of her life, Michal John Hoellein, in Ogden. She is a member of the LDS Church. Karen is a longtime member of the ski patrol with Nordic Valley (Wolf Mountain). She is a longtime member of the NSPS and oversaw all registration for the Intermountain division. Karen loved skiing, camping, hunt- Nicolle Huggard Nicolle Bramwell Huggard, 32, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012, with her devoted husband at her side, after a courageous battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Nicolle was born December 11, 1979, in Nicolle Huggard Ogden, Utah, to Larry D. and Mary Ann Bramwell. Nicolle enjoyed growing up in Pleasant View, where she graduated from Weber High School in 1998. Nicolle earned her Bachelor’s degree at Weber State University graduating as Valedictorian of her nursing class. Nicolle married Douglas Roy Huggard on May 25, 2002. They were sealed for time and all eternity on March 6, 2004 in the Logan LDS Temple. Nicolle was an active member of her Church and especially enjoyed serving in the Clifford James Marker Clifford James Marker, 90, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 and was welcomed into the loving arms of his youngest son Doug and his Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born October Clifford Marker 13, 1921 in Deshlar, Ohio to Lawrence M. and Pearl Reese Marker. Jim moved to Utah in the early 1940’s. He was baptized a member of the LDS Church in Huntsville, Utah on September 27, 1942. He left the very next day for the Navy. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married the love of his life, Mary Verna Peterson, on February 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He served in many church callings, including Temple Ordinance worker. Jim and Mary served two missions, New Zealand Temple and Sui key of Allison Park, Pennsylvania; Jamie Ogden inner city. and John Cole of Ortanna, Pennsylvania. Nicolle had a passion for dance but her greatest enjoyment in life was being a mom to her two young girls, Courtney and Alexa. Nicolle is survived by her husband, Douglas; daughters, Courtney and Alexa; her parents, Larry and Mary Ann Bramwell; brother, John (Sue) Bramwell; and her sisters, Kathy (Kevin) Hildreth and Elisa (Cody) Anger. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Ellen Huggard; sisters-in-law, Angela Huggard-Burks, Shelly (Bryan) Russell and Pamela Huggard; brothersin-law, Chad (Laura) Huggard, Brian (Paulina) Huggard, and Alan (Troya) Huggard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law, Roy Lee Huggard. A visitation was held Monday, May 28, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard. Interment in the Huntsville Cemetery following a private graveside service. In his later years he also worked for Lindquist’s Mortuaries. He enjoyed reading, gardening, hiking, and walking, and he was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, North Ogden; two sons, J. Dale (Tina) Marker, Pleasant View and David L. Marker, North Ogden; Ellen (Howard) Holt, Farmington; Kathleen (Lowell) Mecham, Bountiful; Audrey Larsen, Taylor; Debra Ann (Keith) Warden, Ogden; 30 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Hazel) Marker, Ohio; and one sister, Betty Marker, North Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Douglas M. Marker; son-in-law Steven Larsen; and a brother, Arthur Marker. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Inspiration Hospice for the loving care they gave to our husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert, daughter Holly, brothers Robert Frank and John Telleson, and sisters Dorothy Joy and Louise Telleson. Funeral services were held Monday, June 4 at the Cedar Crest Ward Chapel, 3850 S. 2000 W., Roy. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
