A Internet Safety By Drew Young, boy and girl from each grade were selected for Skyhawk of the Month. They were treated to Sixth Grade Student Reporter lunch and games in the conference room and given a certificate. We want to congratulate our students and the hard work they do! In our school, at Valley, we learned about internet safety. The presenter told us about the horrors that can happen on the internet. The categories for predators are the Oogle, Spamazoid, Hot-head, Numb-but, and Follow- You Fiona. I’ll tell you about the Oogle first. The Oogle sends you fake emails and pop-ups to Pictured above left to right back row: Beau Hart, Cole Noel, Cashe Rumsey, Andrew Nelson, your computer to get your personal informaKelci Huffaker, and Kenzi Carver. I also love the Ogden Nature Center and everything it represents in contrast to our hurry, hustle bustle, techno, computer-age lives,” said Van Zandt. Van Zandt has been a professional landscape designer for the past 14 years, ten in Utah. She moved to Utah in 2001 from Southern California. Van Zandt attended Cal Poly San for help and don’t send messages back or it will get worse. Let’s talk about the Spamazoid. The Spamazoid is a monster that sends bad pictures and viruses to your computer. The Num-but sits on his computer all day long not-caring about anyone else but himself. Now I would like to talk about the FollowYou Fiona. The Follow-You Fiona harasses you on the internet trying to find out where you live, what school you go to, and stuff like that. And sometimes they follow you in real life. If you actually think you want to meet any of these people, I learned that you go straight to a parent or guardian. If any of these things happen to you when you’re on the internet, you are in jeopardy. Luis Obispo and Orange Coast College in California. She had been an Architectural Designer for ten years.
