Azure Isabella Strange, daughter of Corey and Elizabeth Strange of Cedar City, Utah, was born February 20, 2010 weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. Azure is the granddaughter of the happiest grandparents in the world, Forrest and SuZan Brown of Huntsville, Azure Strange Utah. David Henry Stuart David Henry Stuart, beloved husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at home in the presence of his loving family. David was born February 15, 1928 in David Stuart Ogden, Utah, a son of Gilbert Calvin and Esther Bernice Stuart. He attended Ogden High School. David enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 12, 1946 and served aboard the U.S.S. Shangri-La. David married the love of his life, Lila Ann Brewer, on November 5, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. Duane Meacham On the quiet winter night of February 12, 2010, Duane LaMar Meacham completed his journey here on earth. He was greeted by the many friends and family members who had gone before him. We are sure they are sharing a joyous Duane Meacham reunion at this time. After enduring the difficulties associated with diabetes, he is no longer limited by his illness and body. As a family we rejoice with him as he delights in his freedom. His passing was quiet as was hoped by his family. Duane touched the lives of many people with goodness and service. He spent his life in the service of others and in the service of his Heavenly Father. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission to Northern Mexico and numerous Stake and Ward missions, thereby Melvin Gail Jones Melvin Gail Jones, 78, of Harrisville, died Monday, February 15, 2010, surrounded by his family at the McKay-Dee Hospital after a battle with a brief illness. Gail was born January 16, 1932 at North Platte, Marie Carroll Nebraska, a son of Robert Floyd Jones and Vivian Olive Beauchamp. He lived there until the family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1946. He attended elementary and Jr. High school in North Platte. In Utah he attended Mound Fort Jr. High and Ogden High School where he graduated in 1950. He attended Weber State College. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 as an electrician’s mate first class, with service in San Diego, Oakland, Seattle, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Formosa and Korea. He married Dianne Campbell on December 21, 1955 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. The Jones have resided in Ogden, South Ogden, Liberty, Rock Springs WY, Pleasant View and Harrisville. He worked as an electrician for FivePoints Electric, Hill Air Force Base, Pacific Power Plant, and as a self-employed electrical contractor. He then worked at the Ogden L.D.S. Temple as a building engineer. He retired from the Ogden Temple in 1997. He was an active member of the L.D.S. Colonial Springs Ward, having served in many positions, including bishoprics. In 1962 he served an L.D.S. mission in the South Ogden Utah Stake. In 1997, he and his wife served a bringing great blessings to many. He also served in the U.S. Army and was proud to represent our country. He knew the importance of family, which was always his top priority. He married Franciska Ruf on June 22, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was the father of six children, Scott (Kristi), Shauna (Dave) Johnson, Steve (Kim), Leslie (Jeffrey) Parke, Rebecca (Shane) Pehrson, and Jeffrey (Danielle). He also enjoyed the love from 29 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. These were the most important jewels in his life. He is also survived by his brother Marvin (Sheila) Meacham and sister Kay (Bruce) Brennan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Huntsville Stake Center, 6500 E. 1900 N. Eden, Utah. He was laid to rest in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Gail had a skill for fixing anything and enjoyed working in his shop, building and repairing things, working at his computer and in his vegetable garden, building model airplanes, boating and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Dianne, and six sons and daughters: Richard (Cindy) Jones, North Ogden; David Jones, Ogden; Scott (Karen) Jones, West Haven: Dale (Susie) Jones, Pleasant View; Karen (Scott) Carroll, Gilbert AZ; Marilyn (Doug) Stott, Hillsboro OR; as well as 21 grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Morris (Henrietta) Jones, Bountiful; Bob Jones, North Ogden; and one sister, Roma (Bob) Whiting, Howell. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gregory. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Colonial Springs Ward, 480 W. 2000 No., Harrisville. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. on Friday, February 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the L.D.S Church fund of your choice.
