Obituaries Duane Manning Duane Boyd Manning was a kind and loving man whose life was cut too short from an aggressive brain tumor on January 29, 2010. He is the son of Earl and Kae Manning. Duane touched the lives of everyone he met. He Duane Manning was a perfectionist in every sense of the word. Duane was born and raised in Utah, but moved to Oregon where he has spent the last three years. He graduated from Weber High School, then attended the Myo School of Masage Therapy, with a degree in Sports Medicine & Massage Therapy. Duane had an infectious smile and an amazing positive attitude. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His adventurous spirit led him to his love of scuba diving and volunteering to go on recovery dives with Weber County. He also loved biking, hiking, photography, and the symphony. He loved the outdoors and was a world traveler. He loved competing with his broth- ers water and snow skiing. He wanted to win and be the best even if it meant getting hurt. As competitive as he was, he would turn around and give the shirt off his back to a stranger. We know Duane is up in heaven eating peach cobbler with Grandma Thompson and big brother Mike. Duane is survived by his parents, Earl and Kae Manning; two daughters, Kaede Patin and Amber Randall; two sisters, Kristie Cullum of Lawrence and Sheila Christensen of Huntsville; three brothers, Bryan Manning of North Ogden, Brett Manning of Nashville, and Ryan Manning of Salt Lake City. Duane was preceded in death by his older brother Michael W. Harvey. The family wants to thank the amazing staff at McKay Dee Hospital, Dr. Welling for his gracious and sympathetic hospitality, and our special little Hospice CNAs. We love you Duane! Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 2 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
