Show Volume XIV Issue XVIII The Ogden Valley news Page 5 July 1, 2007 Become an Animal at the Library This summer, the Ogden Valley Branch Library will host lots of great events to drive away the dog days of summer as a part of our summer reading program. All events are free. Children aged three and older will enjoy this program, but we will have special story times during each program for all of our youngest patrons. Registration is required. On July 3, at 10:30 a.m., the Ogden Valley Branch Library will be hosting its third summer reading activity. The theme of this event will be small mammals. Children will be separated in two different age groups. For the toddlers, we will be reading stories about small animals and learning about their environments. There will be songs, finger plays, and animal crafts. For the older kids, we’ll have some small mammal group activities, Including Bunnies, John the Rabbit and The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. Toddlers are welcome to join in on the activities after their story and songs. On July 17 at 10:30 a.m., the Ogden Valley Branch Library will host its fourth summer reading activity. The theme of this event will be reptiles, amphibians, and fish. For more information call 745-2220. Customer Appreciation Day at Valley Market in Eden Attention Class of ’95! Did you graduate in the class of 1995 and attend either Valley Elementary, or Snowcrest Junior High School in your youth? If so, please plan on attending a class of ‘95 Valley Reunion. It’s been fifteen years since we left Snowcrest and went out into the big world beyond our valley home. So pull out your neon parkas, your acid washed jeans, your MC Hammer pants—well on second thought leave those at home—but, whatever it takes, get yourself to the class of ‘95 Valley Reunion! The reunion will be held Saturday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Valley Elementary School gymnasium. The ‘95 class members are invited to come, as well as their significant other, and children. Dinner will be served at a cost of $10 a person, or $25 per family. Those under the age of two eat free. If you are planning on attending, please contact an event coordinator and RSVP by July 20.
