Close to $900.00 was raised for Howard Gines, who is in need of a lung transplant Turnout for Ibe Youth Summit - fiindraiscrcarnival was terrific In just over 2 hours the event raised close to $900 for Howard Gines, who is in need of a lung transplant The carnival was organized by local youth as part of Take Pride in Utah Day. Altogether, 600 hours of service and 107 youth were involved. Tumbler Places in Top Ten at Competition Ashiee Snyder, daughter of Don and Orlene Snyder, of Henefcr, went the National to Tumbling the idea of having with Competition fun and learning new things. However, when the winning names of the 13-1- 4 year olds were announced, she was surprised to learn she was in the top ten. The competition was held at the Anaheim Convention Center in with Anaheim, CA, on July 1, 1600 athletes from 30 States and Canada entered. Ashiee is a member of the Northern Star Bounders in Children of all ages enjoyed the rides and other activities at the Youth Summit Special thanks to all who contributed to the success of the event, and to the community for coming out and supporting the service project Over 600 hours of service was put into the project and close to $900 were raised. Cheerleaders Complete Cheer Camp The 1999-200- Cheerleading Squad from North Summit High School recently completed Cheer Camp at the University of Utah. They were part of a group of over 30 cheer squads from Utah and Southern Idaho that participated. Four days of rigorous exercise, stunt practice, dance routines and cheer practice left them all exhausted but well tanned. The North Summit Squad was the proud recipient of a Spirit U, two Blue Ribbons for Excellent Performances and one Gold Ribbon for a Superior Performance.
