( Heather Page commented, "It was ' fun. 1 was a little disappointed that more students didn't submit, but I did have enough to do the maga- zine." The magazine was published last week by a professional printing company and is being sold to students who have reserved copies. Extra copies are currently available for three dollars a copy at the SSHS office. Page stated, "Sales are going slow; people keep forgetting to bring their money." Karalce Hoyt, daughter of Kevin and Kathleen Hoyt, has been chosen to attend Girl's State on June 9 in Cedar City. She is a member of the FBLA, FHA, and the ETS at UVSC. She is an Honor Roll student. e Karalce holds a job after and further to her eduschool, plans part-tim- cation by attending college where she plans to become a Pediatric Nurse. Jennifer Smoot, daughter of Stephen and Jill Smoot, of Woodland, has been selected to represent South Summit High School at Girl's State which will be held this June on the campus of SUU in Cedar City. Jennifer is a high honor roll student with a 3.8S GPA. She has been a Varsity Cheerleader for two years and is a member of the National Honors Society, FBLA and the International Club. She is of the Varsity currently Soccer team and a two year member of the high school choir "Tapestry"! Her hobbies include snowboarding. snowmobiling, singing, dancing. sports and watching a good movie with her friends. She enjoys very much her associations with those around her. Jennifer would like to attend the. University of Utah where she will, major in Social Sciences and even-- ! tually hopes to move on to medical school. The admission charge will be $2 per person or $10 per family. The proceeds will be used for the May 22 trip to Moab where the band will play at the opening of the Moab Arts Festival.
