adam fall A report that adam Bw eigert had fallen a distance ol 01 feet in an old shaft at the eureka hill mine caused considerable excitement wednesday and al moore were explore ing an old shaft just above the beck mine with a view to securing a lease and the former had descended into the shaft upon a rope part way down he stepi ed off into a d ift and in doing so caused considerable dirt and rock to fall on into the drift and his partner seeing the loose rope hanging in the shaft and hearing the noise made by the falling rock thought that had alien to his death in ahe shaft after calling to and receiving no answer he started tor the nearest telephone hohe and within a few minutes twenty ort thirty people were attracted to the being confronted by who oy that time had re turned to the surface it is un necessary to say that the man a friends were very pleasantly surprised to see him very much ali ri and smiling
