They played East Carbon at home and won the first game 5 to 3. Coach Burraston said, "TJ Hannifin pitched a great game which was the last game very for the seniors. The team played great We hit the ball good and played a great defense." The team played a double header losing the second game 8 to 6. "Four errors in the third inning cost us the game. We made a pretty good comeback in the last inning and scored two runs but it was too little too late," Coach Burraston said. "I need to tell all the players and their parents thanks, especially the seniors and their parents !" They volleyball team is having a great season. The varsity team traveled to Wendover for their annual tournament Coach Sharel Jones said, They did an awesome job beating St Joseph HS the first game!" They played 4 games on Friday night and another 3 games on Saturday. They ended the tournaments winning 4 games and losing 3 games. Good job girls! On Tuesday, September 30 the team traveled to East Carbon. JV and Varsity won both their games. The Varsity record for the region games is now at 6 wins and 0 losses. We are proud of the Lady Miners Volleyball Team," said Coach Jones. The volleyball team traveled to Mt. Vernon on Tuesday but scores were unavailable at press time. They will play a double header against Meridian at home on Tuesday, October 14 beginning at 4 p.m. Senior Honor Week and the Autumn Ball was last week. The seniors then went to the gym and played each class and the faculty in a volleyball game. The faculty were the only one's who won the seniors! Way to go teachers! The Autumn Ball was Friday and was a lot of fun. The seniors did a great job decorating. The backdrop was great!
