GEORGE — When the secretary of the Southern Utah Home _ Builders Association sought Carol Sapp’s help in 1988, the organization had 30 members and was in the red. Today the association has more than 780 members in Washington, Kane and San Juan counties. Sapp’s first association was as the owner of a secretarial and book-keeping home-based business. That secretary told Sapp that SUHBAs billing system needed improvement. Sapp took the organization out of the red. As it grew, she became more and more involved. She eventually became its executive officer, a position and closed business.
