GEORGE — The Tender Touch Ministries invites women from all church congregations to join together to make new friendships and renew old ones at the upcoming Gala. Tender Touch Ministries’ Third Annual Gala will be at the Courtyard Marriott on Saturday, Nov. 1, featuring an evening of excellent food, entertainment and good company. Linda O’Bryant, director of the women’s fellowship, said that the gala is part of an effort of Tender Touch Ministries to bring women together who love the Lord and have a night to dress up and enjoy a wonderful evening together. The gala will have a London-broiled dinner, elegant door prizes and speaker/singer Kenna Turner West, a well-known Christian singer and songwriter. Her husband Kerry West is the son of Doty West, a legendary country singer. Kenna came to last year’s gala and the organizers of the gala are happy to welcome her back. O'Bryant said: “Kennaisan amazing, witty woman with a voice of an angel, beautiful inside and out. She is a Dove Award nominee. She has a country charm and elegance that brings a “home-i-ness” to the atmosphere, as she talks about her life with all its challenges’ A portion of the ticket sales goes to donations to the HOPE Pregnancy Care Center and also the DOVE Shelter, a safe haven for battered women.
