GEORGE — Dave Huber of SunRiver is pleased with the growing success of Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. As chairman of Habitat’s 15-member board of directors, he watched with enthusiasm the recent groundbreaking for Washington County's 14th Habitat house and the nearly simultaneous opening of the Habitat ReStore at 267 E. 1400 South, Suite 105, in St. George. The ReStore offers deep discounts on quality used and surplus merchandise to those in the community looking for a really good deal in these difficult economic times. Huber said, “Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah's next big event is the upcoming sixth annual Hope Gala on Saturday, Nov. 1. This gala is completely different from anything we have done before. It will be a wonderful dress-up affair with world class entertainment .. a night to remember!” “An Evening in Paris” will feature hors d'oeuvres, chicken crepes, French pastries, a chocolate fountain, cash bar, professional photographs, and an auction of goods and services, including an Alaskan excursion. World renowned ragtime pianist and comedian Mimi Blais, considered by many to be the female Victor Borge, is the evening's featured entertainment.
