Harvest objective units differ from traditional limited entry units in three main ways," says Suzette Fowlks, information specialist with the Division of Wildlife Resources. For example, if the objective is to take 10 cougars on a unit, the hunt on the unit doses when 10 cougars are taken, even if the end of the season hasnt been reached. Some harvestobjective units also have a that can close the a female unit to hunting ifa certain number of female cougars are taken before the total objective is reached.
