Ha waa bora September 20, 1918, to Jeremiah Ward and Alice Ann Hill Zobell in Salt Lake City, Utah. married He Doloree Loyd Sep- tember 14, 1940 in loka, on May 22, 1952 they were aealed fin' all time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Jamea loved life and his family. He worked as a truck driver for Link Trucking for about 34 years. He was a wonderful carpenter, he eijoyed working with wood and building house's. He had a great interest in trains and owned a extensive model railroad. He wa an active member of the LDS Church. He and his wife served a mission in Peoria, Illinois in 1985. This was among hia greatest memories. Ha served many various callings in the church. His survived by his wife Dolores, Roosevelt; Children, Joyce (Rex) Roberts, West Jordan; Gary (Linda) Zobell, South Ogden; Diana (Bert) Dennis, West Valley; Gayle (Bob) Crowley, loka; Janie iKay 1 Perry, Rov, UT;Alan (Kathy 1 Zobell. Casper. WY; Terri (David) Optra, West Jordan; Jeff (Betty) Zobell, Vernal, and Mark Roberts, Ogden; 38 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. His preceded in death by a daugh ter Kaye Roberts, brotherWaltZuheU. 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandson-in-la- w child. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2000 at the Mylon LDS Church, Friends and family may call Wednesday evening at the Hullingrr Mortuary from 8--8 pm, and 1 hour prior to the service at the v church. v w. . Burial will be in the loka IP Dime each site. The site council is organised by the site facilitator who acts as thechair of the council. Council members include the principal, parents, teachers and in some sites students. Each site will have a permanent host ofstafTmembers and tutors. The tutors may range from seniors to seniors. Caldwell stated that tutors could corns from all sources. All tutors ara required to pass a background check. Through providingafter school programs Connections hopes to reduce the uaeof drugs and violence in the tricounty communities. Where there is a need some adult classes may be part of the program. Classes that would teach job skills, parenting and literacy. The Connections program encompasses two areas. Area one includes Duchesne and Roosevelt. The area coordinator for ares mis is Amber Thacker. Area two includes Lapoint, Ashley and Manilla. Area Two Coordinator is Crist y Atkin. The federal grant received tostart Connections is a three year grant for over 82 million. That grant was received thanks to the efforts of the tricounty FACT (Families Agencies and Communities Together) council. ThecouncO wrote a grant requesting Binds for a program such as Connections. The grant was sent to 21 Century Community Learning Center. Who approved it and in turn panted the money to the FACT council. The program will be evaluated in the tpring todetermine the orogrem at tack Bile. Connections will also issue turvtyt to monitor their program. Bear Permits Utah's 2001 statewide bear conservation permit went to Safari Gub International. A total of five area bear conservation permits also were allocated by the board. Sportsmen for Habitat received four of them, with the remaining permit going to the Mule Deer Foundation. More than $800 was raised by conservation organisations through the sale of hear conservation permits in 2000. Conservation organisations anticipate raiaing 85,000 through the sale of hear conservation permits in 2001. Money from the sale ofblack bear conservation permits has been used to fond a black bear study on the Book Cliffs in eastcentral Utah. Female bears have been fit with radio collars which allow biologists to locate and study them. Biologist are seeking information about bear re productive success, cub loss and food habit in the area.
