Moon Pearl Foster Moon, 86, of Provo, died July 4, 2000 at the Utah Val'-.Regional Medical Center in Provo. She was born December 18, 1913, in Barbara Borg y Vernal, Utah to Hayden and Hattie B Javina Foster. She married Jamea Willis Moon on April 1, 1938 in the Salt Lake LOS Temple. Pearl raised her family in Hanna and Provo and supported her husband in hisbusinesses. She was an active member ofthe Church OfJesus Christ Of Saints and Latter-da- y served in various positions. She loved all typesof crocheting and hand work. She also eivoyed reading, gardening and encouraged the education of afl her children. Pearl is survived by her husband, J. Willis and her children; Lamar (Diane) Moon, Lamont (Gay) Moon, Richard (Marcia) Moon, Rachel Ruth (Tom) (Lynn) Baadsgmard. Rogers and Helen (Roger) Gourley, 34 grandchildren, 32 and one great-gregrandchild, also abrother, Roy Foster. When you begin to care for older parents or begin to grow older yourself, what do you need in terms of resources (both public and private) to help you manage independently? Do you nave the necessary skills and resources? Who will be there to care for you when you grow old? What should the role of government be as The State Board afAging and Adult Services is planning to conduct a public meeting in Roosevelt on July 16 at 1 p.m. to discuss any concerns affecting senior citizens. The meeting will be held in the Crossroads Senior A Community Center located at 50 East 100 South in Roosevelt. Some possible topics for discussion include income, health care, housing, transportation. legal needs, and any other ideas that citizens share with the Board. The Board eryova meeting with the citizens affected by the programs being offered through the Aging network. They are able to find out firsthand the concerns ofthe seniors and possible solutions. By working together needs and resources can come together more readily. Draper, spent the weekend in Barbara Borg, age 72, formerly of July 8, 2000 in the Provo Care Center. She was born March 3, 1928 in Sigurd, Utah to Alma Fernando and Laura Mae Simpson Borg. Barbara was a member of the LDS Church. While living with her sitter Joseph ineYergensen, she attended schools in Myton,Rooaevelt and graduated from Richfield High in 1945. Because she was in poor health, most of her adult life, shit resided in various care centers throughout the state. Barbara is survived by sisters an Roosevelt, died spouses, Josephine ft Elmer Ycrgensen, Ruth and Glendon Rhoades, Roosevelt She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Bill- -, Joseph E. and Garth Borg, two sisters, June Lipeey and Kathleen Allrod. Horrocks Carman Gene Horrocks, 69, of Smelterville, Idaho passed a way June 28, 2000 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Carman was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Arcadia. Utah, to Franklin Ray and Melna B. (Gilbert) Horrocks. He attended school in Roosevelt and graduated in Duchesne. Carman served in the USAir Force during the Korean War then moved to this ana in 1986 from Billings MT. He was a truck driver for Ryder PIE for many years. Carman was a member of the Teamsters Union. He loved and enjoyed fishing and prospecting for gold. He was known to be a character and very strong-willeSurvivors include two daughters, Cindee Horrocks ofFarmington, and Trina Pernult. St. George; a son, Todd Horrocks, Bountiful; twogrand-chiidre- n and two three brothers, BUI Horrocks, Salt Lake City. Gilbert Horrocks, Provo, and Doug Horrocks, Duchesne, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He was born Dee. 12, 1956 in Roosevelt to Felix Alton and Barbara FoowegupMart. His family called him potato. He was a carpenter for Ute Tribe building, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and horses when he was younger. He liked to be around his nieces and nephews, liked rodeosand PowWows. He was very dependable and helpful and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother, Barbara, and brother and sisters: &ewart (Dellana) Mart, Elliott Mart, Marcus Mart, Alta (Calvin) YeUowhorse, and Felicia Mart, and nephew, Leavis Mart, all of Whiterocks; and numerous nephew, nieces, aunts and undea. Lindsay ofMountain Home passed away on Monday July 3. 2000 at Stewart 's Care and Rehabilitation Center in Roosevelt 6 days shy ofher 85 birthday. Elisabeth Mae Reynolds was born on July 9, 1915 in Boneta, to Edward and Jennv Potter Reynolds. She was one of 6 children. Mae married Robert T. Lindsay on Nov. 12, 1935. Tbev made their Uvm fanning. Mae lived a private life but loved her family, her yard, gardening, fishing with her husband and family picnics. She was a huge fan of Marilyn S. Kite has stepped down from Questar Corporations board of directors following her appointment to the Wyoming State Supreme Court. Ms. Kite joined Questar's board in 1997 and served on various commit tees. She has represented numerous coal, uranium and other mineral interests in state and federal proceedings. She is a partner in the regional law firmof Holland and Hart and practices law in Jackson. Wyo. R.D. Cash, Questar chairman, president and chief executive officer, said, We want to congratulate Marilyn on her new position on the Supreme Court. Page is the ofRance Savage, who, along with his brother Frank Savage, lived in North Fork where Frank owned Defa' Dude Ranch before Frank Defa bought it. Mr. A Mis. John Hisaman traveled to Florida to viait hi parents. While there, they attended the wedding of Johns sister, Cindy. Pearl Moon passed away July 4th in Provo after suffering a stroke. Nellie Lang has eiyoyed a week's visit from her daughter, Donna LaMunyon of Logan. Karren and Jerry Peterson, Duchesne, had a baby boy born to them in Roosevelt on Sunday, June 13. Little Lance weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and has a stepbrother, Justin, at home. Lance's grandparents are Lynn Cook ofsouthern Utah, and Vern and Helen Peterson ofDuchrane. Karren ' mother is deceased. The Harold Gees lost another very dear friend. Alice Swasey ofAhamont.' at Stewart's Care Center in Rooervelt Florence Smith has been in the hospital again, but is back home now.
