Thompson Lane Norton and Swasey Our sweet little mother passed awsy Monday, June 26, 2000 after91 years offering service to her family h frlUnrman. Mother was born in Sterling. Utah on Sept. 25, 1908 to Irving D. and Arseneth Abigail Funk Snow. She married Napkr Swasey March 21, 1928 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died July 29, 1980. Alice was an active member of the LDSChunch where she served in many and various callings. She was a very warm and sensitive person, quick to open her arms and home to everyone, especially anyone who may have nroded a little TLC and no one ever left her home hungry . She loved gar dening and cultivating beautiful things, especially rosea. She is survived by children Marvin N. and Bernice Swasey, Murray; Ncdra and Richard Marietta. Salt Lake City; Charleen Dychea. Mesquite, NV; Karen and Rud Dychea, Sandy; Lloyd and Waltea Swasey, Alamogordo, NM; Melvin and Dixie Swasey, Boneta, UT; 18 grandchil- dren; 20 greet grandchildren; a brother Row and Janet Fietkau; and sisters, Bernice Abplanalp and Ruby and Jack Fitxwater. She was preceded in death by daughters, Barbara, Lets and Ella; a Gary Dychea; 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He had a special interest in history, especially that of the Old West and the Uint Basin. He was happiest when he was helping or teaching others. From Science projects to sign painting we could always count on Dad for inspiration and guidance. He taught us all by example to never giveup,tobeagood friend and neighbor, and the importance offaith and family. He has been our greatest teacher and we will miss him greatly. Dad ia free now to walk the wind and track us all as only he knew bow with the love ofa husband, father and grandfather. Our lessons have only just begun for he will always be a teacher. Alice SnowSwasey Carver Wilbur Long was freed from his tire dan worn out mortal body on June 23, 2000. He was born on March 9, 1906 in Lincoln, Kansas to Will iam E. and Laura Songer Long. He married Dorolha A Parson on Aug. 18, 1936 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug. 25, 1936. Dorot ha passed away Nov. 7. 1988. OnMay 25. 1991he married Mary Pratt of Layton. They were later divorced. He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding numerous positions, ward dork. MIA auperinlen dent, home teacher, stake mission ary. He also had the privilege ofbeing an odioator in the Los Angeles, Provo and Salt Lake Temples. He is survived by one son: Allen Lyle Long of KaysviUe; grandchildren, Lyle Long. Cindy Bright. She waa born Jan. 19, 1964 in Roosevelt to Gary John and Sharon Louise Scott Thompson. Marilyn is survived by children, Travis Bruce Hardinger, Chad Paul Hardinger, and Crystal Marie Patry; father, Gary John Thompson; and sister, Virgiann Thompson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Lynn Patty, a brother, Eldon Brent Thompson; and her mother, Sharon Louise Thompson.
