Harold Gee, born July 13th, 1908 turn 92 years old this year. He and hi wife Orinda Gee have been living in Duchesne for the past 20 years. Harold is now retired but worked for years in heavy construction. The work was transitory which allowed he and Orinda to live throughout the western states. In their younger years they cared for six welfare children,1' Orinda said. Today their commitment to service is still strong. They visit Stewart's Care and Rehabilitation Center twice a month and a Vernal care center once a month tochcer the elderly. Over and over again throughout last years show visitors commented on how they had no idea did work like that, or that their next-doneighbor was such a fine artist And professional artist judges commented repeatedly on the overall quality of the artwork. No matter your age or level of expertise, or how you choose to express yourself through art. there is a category for you. Past entries have ranged from traditional oil paintings to expert bead work, and from handmade furniture to baby quilta to portrait photography. Dw to increased participation last year, Art, including sculpture, pottery and ceramics, has been designated as a separate category in the 2000 Arts and Crafts Show. Creative Writing and Flower Arrangement, two categories which have been a part of some previous shows, will once again be included. Needlework and most other fabric items will join the centerpiece quilt exhibit in Quilting k Needlework. Computer-enhance-d photography will be exhibited with Photography, while other types of computer art art welcome in theGraphic Art category.
