Also honored were Richard Roberts, Cache County School District director of high schools; Michael Hamby, an artist, (former pro football player for Buf-fal- o Bills and college athlete at USU) and Alan Parrish, BYU professor. Snow is of Century 21 Country Realty and Snow Construction Company in the Uintah Basin. He is also a representative for Duchesne and Wasatch Counties in the Utah State Legislature. Snow was elected to that position in 1998. Ho chaired the USU Uintah Basin Branch Campus Advisory Board ais years, he) ping develop a scholarship program and acquire new buildings and housing. Ha helped organise and waa president of the Utah State University alumni chapter in the area. He graduated from USU in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He obtained his CPA certificate while working for national accounting firm in Tucson, Aruona, and served as a member for 12 years Uni-versi- fy pm. A new flagpole was erected by Dalaney Monument Dedication held in Duchesne on Veterans Day By Amanda Jenkint It was a day of remembrance and gratitude as the new veterans monument in Duchesne was dedi- cated. The dedication took (dace on Veteran Day, Thursday, Nov. II. Ceremonies began with the ceremony followed by Duchesne Elementary students singing the National Anthem. Guest speakers were Duchesne mayor Kim Hamlin and Randy Knight, state flag-raisin- g Mecham. veteran" worker. The memorial was then dedicated by Calvin Killian. The monument was constructed by Boy Scout troop 268, which includes members Doug Do Mills, Shay Graham, Dalaney Mecham, Brady Reinhardt, Brant Moon, Kirk Killian, and Tim Abbott. They were led by Varsity Scout leaders Jay Abbott and Calvin Killian. Each of the boys constructed one of the five monuments commemorating veter- - Several local businesses made the monument possible, and the scout would like to thank them for their contributions. Several other individuals also contributed to planning and construction of the monument; Kelly Keilbasa, Kalvin Killian. Jay Abbott, Chad Tegan, and Vern Peterson.
