Weekly meetings are held Thursdays at the home of LeeAnn Haslem from 6:30 pm. to 8.30 pm. These young folks are learning to train their horses for competition and showmanship. They are also receiving instruction in team pinning, barrel racing, pole bending, and on how well they handle their horses. The ages of club members are 10 and up. The kids have a great opportunity to learn about their horses: how to train, feed, and care for them in general. During the spring and summer the 4-- club members will work 4-- GOING TO DISTRICT-The- sc lop 1 2 spelling bee winners will go on to compete in the district spelling bee this in Altamont. "Utah gas prices now average under a dollar for the first time in five yean and are at the lowest price in 10 years," said AAA Utah spokeswoman Rolaynt Fairclough. The Utah average ia 96 cents for a self-eergallon of regular unleaded, down 8 cents from last month, according to AAA Utahs monthly gas survey. The last time prices were this low waa in January 1989, when the Salt Lake area average was 95 cents a gallon, according to figures from the Utah stale Office of Energy and Resource Planning.
