She currently attends UVSC. Ryan is a 1992 graduate of Union High School where he was involved in the athletic programs. He served an LDS mission to Alberta, Canada. He currently attends UVSC majoring in Business Management. The couple will make their first home in Orem. Diabetes Classes Food, clothing and other emergency items are being prepared by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for shipment to victims of Hurricane Mitch in Central America. 40,000-poun- d conSix tainers will leave Salt Lake City via truck Monday evening for Gulfport, Miss., where they will be transferred to a ship headed for Honduras on Friday. The six containers include three with clothing, two with rice, beans, powdered milk and soap, and one with plastic sheeting, blankets and foam pads for temporary beds. The shipments will supplement aid already given by leaders of the Church in the areas hit by the Hurricane who have been purchasing many needed supplies locally. The Friday shipment is expected to arrive in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Meanwhile, a dozen Latter-da-y Saint meetinghouses have been used as shelters for victims of the heavy rains and flooding. Missionaries in the three Honduras missions of the Church and the one in Nicaragua are all safe and are preparing to assist with cleanup efforts when the waters subside. Cortney Evans, daughter of Dr. Keith and Sharon Evans has recently attended a Poetry Convention at Disneyland, where she received a Diamond Homer Trophy for her poem, The Rose", which was published in the Famous Poets Society Anthology, Cherished Poems of the Western World. Cortney attended several forums and was exposed to all kinds of poets and various kinds of Poetry from classical to gala.
