Show Page 18 : UINTAH BASIN STANDARD. August 12. 1097 Horace was bom June 8, 1916 in Woodscross, Utah to Horace James and Leila Moss Grant. He married Lucille J. Ogzewalla April 26, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Horace was a kind husband and loving father. He waa an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ ofLatterday Saints. He held many positions in the church. He served a mission in California, and mission with his later a two-yewife, Lucille, in the Lansing-Michi-ga-n mission. He was a veteran of World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a farmer during his early married life, but is remembered for his cabinet making. He lived in Wellington, Utah for 23 years. The last 15 months he lived with hia children in Roosevelt. His greatest love and jpy were his family. He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Wellington, UT and their 1 1 children; Jerald, Modesto, CA; LuAnn Day, SLC, UT; Byron, Roosevelt; Ray, Roosevelt; Dixie Bird, Upalco, UT; Eldon, Washington; Dale, West Jordan; Cindy La brum, Neola; Carter, Roosevelt; Karl Florida; Whitney, SLC; 46 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Afton Grant Affleck, SLC; Conway Grant, Boise, ID; JDell Lee, Layton, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; an infant son, Bradley "O; two grandchildren. Shared Labrum and Kathy Bird. Funeral services held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 11 at the Wellington LDS Stake Center, Wellington, UT. Ellingford Keith J. Ellingford, age 62, of Roosevelt died August 10, 1997 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 4, 1935 in Atlanta, Idaho to Thomas Gilbert and Ora Moosman Ellingford. He married his lifelong companion and true love Virginia J. Darlene Zarro February 13, 1960 in San Francisco. Keiths greatest jqy was his family and he liked to spend time with his kids hunting and fishing and with the grand kids telling stories and talking about the old days. His hobby was his garden and he really enjoyed the time spent there. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of Roosevelt; Sons, daughter, and spouses, Mike and Debbie Ellingford, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Darlene and Bob Edwards, Sale Lake City; Glenn and Carolyn Ellingford, Roosevelt; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; His mother, Ora Ellingford, Roosevelt; brothers and sisters, Ina Rae and Grant Jarman, Burley, ID; Doris Ellingford, Fay and DeNile McKenna, all Roosevelt; Vickie and Richard Fitzgerald, Tom and Sidney Ellingford, all Bridgeland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 1997, 11 a.m. at the Myton LDS 2nd Ward Chapel.
