He was barn July 4, 1960 in Haskell and Andulia Ropsevelt-t- o ' Albert enjoyed Fishing, camping and hiking. Bowling was also one of his favorite pastimes. She was bom October 12, 1906 in Cainsville, Utah to John Franklin and Olre Foy Carrell. She married Percy Potts, August 1, 1922 in Heber City, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 11, 1993. She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. She was an active member of the LDS Church,' serving various positions, including Relief Society work counselor for many years. She started visiting teaching at age 16. She also served in the Primary and MIA as a teacher. She. was a wonderful mother and grandmother.'' Wilcken George Paul Wilcken, "Till Paul", age 74, of Roosevett, departed this life on January 2, 1997 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center of congestive heart failure. Paul was born January 13, 1922 at Hanna, the sixth of nine children, to George Herbert and Myrtle Lizetta Michie Wilcken, he had four brothers and four sisters. He lived on a ranch in Hanna until he was 14 years old at which time the family moved to Duchesne, where he graduated from High School. He attended Carbon College in Price and Weber College in Ogden where he studied building. He served during World War Dm the Army Air Force. He married Betty Jean Ross, of Iven George and Ruby 18, ROSS, December 1948, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, with their four children, they served a three year building mission in England far the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints. Pud was a member of the High Priests Group of the Roosevelt 2nd Ward. BEiSE funds to pay design costs on building UBHD wins The Community Impact Board has awarded the Uintah Basin District Health Department with a grant for $16,700 to proceed with an engineering and architectural study for a new facility in Roosevelt. The planned 2J000 square foot building would include office space, exam rooms and a small dentist office. Roosevelt City has donated land near the old Hiland Dairy building to the health department for the facility. Uintah t3 . '- Basin Health Department Director Joseph Shaffer will approach the CIB again this Thursday to ask for the 5217,000 needed to construct the new building. He has applied for a 30-5- 0 loangrant mix.
