Former Altonah resident Wade Jessen, the son of Guy and Rosales Jessen, was named Music Director of the Year in the 1994 BillboardAiiplay Monitor Radio Awards Ceremony held Saturday at the New York Hilton. Wade was elected to receive the award by readers of Billboard Magazine. He was nominated from among hundreds ofradio personalities across the country working in e the population market. Billboard is an industry trade publication which charts records, music videos, and videos released far home play. It has an international circulation. As part of his job as music director and afternoon personality for WSM Radio in Nashville, Tenn., Wade is responsible for reporting the stations "play list" to Billboard. Wade has been with WSM for seven years.
