Police find high percent of clerks dont I.D. for tobacco By Cheryl Mecham An overwhelming 77 percent of Roosevelt City and 33 percent of Duchesne County convenience store clerks tested illegally sold tobacco to an underage youth during an "illegal tobacco buy operation" conducted by law enforcement officials. Officers J.C. Hansen, Roosevelt Police Department, and Dale. Johnson, Investigator for Duchesne County Sheriff Department directed the operation which involved 13 convenience stares county wide, on the evening of November 5. Roosevelt City possesses nine of the eleven convenience states surveyed, seven of which illegally sold tobacco to an undercover Of the three, stores included in Duchesne County one sold tobacco illegally.
