Show : K-w- Letters 1 V,' the Editor Inmate needs correspondence Dear Editor; I am an inmate at the Indiana State Prison. Im writing you because I find myself in a bad predicament. I don't have anyone writing or visiting me. The friends I once had have turned their backs on me. It seems as though they only lasted as long as I could pay the tab for their friendship. Ive been incarcerated since Oct., 1982. In the last six years Ive written to different people, anyone who I felt might remember some bond of friendship, although night after night passes without any response. Ive been forgotten and it hurts. Lone liness is a sad thing, yet this is the position I find myself in. Quite frankly, this is a terrible place. ' And seeing other men around me getting letters and visits from friends and loved ones depresses me more, and puts me in some sad moods sometimes. I am lonely and it would mean a lot to me if I had a friend to correspond with. I am a white male, 41 years old. Im 5 foot 9 inches tall, and weigh 175 pounds. I have black hair and brown eyes. I wear a moustache and I'm not bad looking. I love music and play rhythm guitar and sing, and I like most sporting events and enjoy seeing people happy and smiling. I like to create that atmosphere. Also I take every opportunity to better myself. I hope you can find it in your heart to publish this in your paper, perhaps sparking an interest in someone out there. Maybe this will reach someone whos also lonely, and would like a friend to correspond with. I regret I cannot afford to pay for this ad, because I ' only make $10 a month while working here. If you can publish this, I promise to answer everyone who answers to my plea. I want to thank you in advance for your time. Any consideration that youre able to give me will be highly appreciated. And have a nice day. Sincerely, Jerry Lee Butrum 29190 P.O. Box 41 Michigan City, Indiana 46360 nesses in both Duchesne and Roosevelt. The crowd argued about a loan taken out by former council member Lester Chapoose, to clean up Bottle Hollow. Supporters of Chapoose said thathis loan is only one of many that have been given to tribe members and that all loans need to be paid back. CD June IS ne .
