Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 19. Interment was in Bountifiil. Louise Marguerite Taylor Thompson, 75, Altamont, died at her home Nov. 20. She was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Goshen, Idaho, to James Henry and Mary Ann Barber Taylor. She married Wilford Henry Thompson Jan. 6, 1939, in the Meea, Arizona IDS Temple. She was a member of the IDS church. She heldmany positions, including Sunday School teacher, YW teacheradviaor, YW president, and KeliefSociety president. She served as clerk for Altamont town councillor several years. She worked 22 years for Moon Lake Electric Association before retiring in 1974. She also did accounting work for L G. Stevenson Construction Co. She worked as secr- etary at Altamont High School and parttime for the Duchesne County Clerks office. She is survived by her husband, Altamont; children, William M. Thompson, Weat Jordan; Stephen W. Thompson, Dutch John; Mary L Hanberg Alta- He was bom My 16, 1914, in Salina, to Jsssa Robert Allen and Dora Melissa Durfey, and stepmother, Dr. Lurrine Miles. He married Ruth Williams Ball, May 16, 1941, in the Salt Lake Temple. Nathan served three years on a mission for the LDS church in France, and later served oneyaar in the Connecticut Hartford Mission with his wife, Ruth. He was very active in his church having served in the bishopric, as Sunday School Superintendent and in various teaching and leadership positions. Before his death he served in the High Priest group leadership. He served on the Duchesne County School Board for 12 years, and many years on the aoning committee far Roosevelt City. After graduating from Brigham Young University, with a degree in accounting; he served in the U. 8. Navy, during World War II. He and his family spent the next 17 years in Pleasant Valley, where he farmed and worked for the Agricultural Stabilisation and Conservation Service in Roosevelt In 1966 they moved to Roosevelt and Nathan retired hi 1981 at the age of 67. Nathan was preceded in death by his three parents; one brother, Jesse Ray Allen, and a grandson, Brian Chen Allen. Survivors are his wife, Ruth, and four children, Mrs. Ronald (FVandne) Fenn; Mrs. David 0. (Vicki) Kynaston, Roosevelt area; Bruce & Allen, and Laurie B. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Joan Rounsville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Ham. at the Altamont LDS Stake center, where friends may call one hour Smith, 94, died Nov. 17 in Salt Lake City. For the past year she has lived in Altamont with a granddaughter, Cris Jackson. She was bom April 11, 1894 in Holden, to William Thomas and Elisabeth Jane Sibley Bennett She married Daniel Zebulin Smith May 25, 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She grew up on a farm in Holden. She was an active member of the IDS church, holding many positions. She served as a stake missionary in Richland, Wash. Survivors include three sons; Elvin B. Smith, Richland, Wadi.; J. Maynard Smith, Salt Lake; Daniel R. Smith, California; 12, grandchildren; 33 great grand- - Participants in ths concert Utah residents and have earned the opportunity to perform in the concert by winning the state fair competition and then completing farther auditions. The concert will open with an all , on ' Provo, studies trumpet at Brigham Young University and with Ed Gomick of the Utah Symphony. Jackson haa recently won two important competitions: the UMTA national ado competition held in Salt Lake City earlier this year, and the international trumpet guild aolo competition also held earlier this year.Performing the first movement of Webers concerto in F mqjor for bassoon and orchestra will be Christian Smith, glso of Provo. Smith is a student at BYU studying bassoon performance. His wife is also a bassoonist studying music at BYU. Bryce Mecham will perform - the concertino for trombone and Zimmerman back with advisory committee Justice Michael D. Zimmerman of the Utah Supreme Court has been reappointed to the federal Advisory Committee on Civil-Rule- Untied States Supreme Court William H. Burger, Justice Zimmerman was the first state judge to serve cm the Committee. The Committee studies the operation of the rules of civil procedure followed in all federal courts and recommends needed changes, which must be approved by the United States Supreme Court. Although the federal rules of dvil procedure apply only in federal courts, many states, including Utah, have used them as a model for their own court rules.
