Show UBIC'88PAa Basin artists display works ' ?4 16 We encourage you to participate and make the UBIC Art allow the outstanding event of the year. Entries will be received Thursday, August 4th from 8 to 10 a.m. There will be judges comments and a question and answer period beginning at 2:30 paffla We request only three pieces of art per person. Each work must be prepared to exhibit. Properly framed, matted, etc. whatever applies. Please no wet paint. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen art ides but will take ever, precaution to protect your work. Art work may be sold If the artist so desires. Since our show will be In the L.D.S. Stake Center, church standards will be maintained. This pertains espedaly to subject matter, please, no nudes and ecL Also no food ordrink wll be allowed and hep us to avoid litter in the budding. The art will be divided Into four age groups: 1 Youth, up to and Inducting Amateur, and twelve, ages thirteen to eighteen, -- Professional. each age groupthere will be three divisions of media: 1 Graphics, which will Include marker, pen, pendl, charcoal, pastel. and Opaque Acrylic. Transparent Acrylic, Gouache, Mixed media and eta Photography and Sculpture will be Judged aH ages as one group All photo must be mounted or matted, with 5X7 being the smallest accepted. Craig Ashby has consented to judge the photography. Judgesforthe paintings and sculptures will be David Amsbrak, Vernal, and Rober DeWitt, Orem. David is a visual artist in a number of different medias, oil, watercolor, drawing, and ect. He works with the Utah Art council In artist education. He has paintings in both private and public collections throughout the United States and also abroad. Rober is currently the head of the Art Department at the Utah Valley Community College and is a great artist They will be judging quality and characteristics such as: color values, composition, perspective, unity, balance, visual Impact and technical capabilities.
