Show Pag 12, November 4. 1987 (Uintah. Basin Standard Longhorns lose to North Sevier 17-0 The Altamont Longhorns finished their season Friday with a 17 to 0 loss to North Sevier. The Basin team, which has struggled in past years to win a football game, came nut strong this year, with a 6 and 1 record for the season until they went into finals, in region finals, then in the they lost to Monticello, final they lost Friday, game quarter to North Sevier to end their bid for a state championship. The North Sevier Wolves made their two touchdowns early in the game, with the first coming at the beginning of the first quarter, and the second coming with four minutes left in that quarter. Later in the game, however, they kicked a soaring field goal on a fourth down from behind the 25 yard line, to raise the score to 17. Eagles end season with 71-- 0 loss The Duchesne Eagles finished their season Tuesday with a 71 to 0 loss to Kanab. Kanab has been ranked first and second in the state this year, and is definitely one of the toughest teams to beat Eagle Coach, Rick Durbin said his team for the game was made up of a number of Junior Varsity players, as several of his seniors were out with health problems.
