The church is located at the corner of Fourth and F streets in Myton. Our pastor is the Rev. Mr. Glenn W. Thomson; he welcomes requests for information; please call him at 722-919- On Sunday, November 1, members of the congregation gathered for the worship service. Christians gather for worship as the forgiven ones, the thankful ones, the dedicated ones. Thus the structure of our worship is three-fold- : 1) confession and pardon (man's need): 2) word and witness (God's action): and S) dedication to mission These three (man's response). division, like the three acts of a great drams, reflect the life of the individual before God; separation, reconciliation, and responsible service; or in Pauline terms: death, resurrection, and life. The Call to Worship: Commitment to the Christian faith is a way of life, not just knowledge of God's laws. Many of Jesus' day knew how to look righteous without being righteous. Jesus condemned them for their hypocrisy and called his followers into a life of humility and service. May the devotion we feel for God in our hearts direct us in the beauty of holiness. A warm welcome was extended to all in attendance. It was especially nice to have Betty and Justin back with us for their first visit, along with Paula, Penny, and Jenny. Scripture readings were from 1 Thessalonians 2:9-1Ruth 4:7-1- and Matthew 23:1-1children's sermon was The 2. "God Makes Us Pure.'' Glenn was pleased with the answers to his questions as the Sunday School lesson paralleled his sermon. It is always a pleasant sight to see the children hurry forward for this special message directed to them. Elders Virginia and Cal Monks were called upon to take up the collection and to assist Pastor Glenn in the serving of Holy Communion following the conclusion of the sermon The Gospel is God's Message, Not Man's. Prayers of the People were said for all those suffering 'illness, particularly Glenns lather, Justin's father, Melba Appawora, and June Selfe, for the Mart's safe travel; for peace in the world; and for, God's will M be Worked in' Remember the Session meeting set for Tuesday evening and the Ladies' Aid Bazaar, which will be held Friday, November 13, at the American Legion Hall in RoosvelL There will be craft items for sale as well as baked goods.
