Jerry has been long interested in photography and has improved over the past few years a small dark room at the high school into an advanced color and black and white facility. Recently four of his students competed in the 1984 high school writers and photographers ellnle held at the University of Utah. This clinic is held each year with the participants competing against each other, most of the students being from the larger 8 and 4A Minutes State Duchesne. this areas high schools are Duchesne County schools. The photography contest was divided into two categories: Action and Feature. The action pictures had to be taken of a 8A basketball game in progress during the conference. Delbert Oman received a superior rating, number 6 in the competition. His eohearts. Bill Goodrich and Michael Gorniebee each received an award of merit for their photographs. Rid: Myrin took third place in the feature photographs following dose behind students from Cyprus and Kearns high schools. .
