Presently the Buckaroos are ranked fourth in the state for schools, but Durbin said he, as well as other coaches, feels that East Carbon is a much better team. The final game with Monticello could really affect the play for the Eagles. Durbin said that is they lose to Monticello they will take third place in Region 13 and would then have to play the third place team from Region 12 which will probably be Milford, according to Durbin. However, if Duchesne can beat Monticello, and then if East Carbon then Duchesne beats Monticello, would place second in Region 13 and would play the second place team from Region 11. Durbin said that will probably be South Summit. Durbin said he is only hoping that his team will play better than they have been. He also had praise for Tim Thacker and Wayne Miles who did a good job rushing for the Altamont squad. Asay said his team accumulated about 220 total yards with 100 of that coming by the pass. The Longhorns played their final home game Tuesday afternoon, October 13, when they hosted a team from Cokeville, Wyo. The Longhorns will travel to Green River next Friday, October 23. They will be tough, said Asay. It will really be who will have the worst record. Asay said they are not really changing their game plan. He said they have had some chances to scout the Pirates and he feels that his game plan will work right in with what the 0 Pirates do. Asay stressed that the biggest advantage Green River has Is that the game is played in Green River and it is their Homecoming. He added, however, that he feels his team is a better ball club and he is looking for a win.
