Utahs Big Gum Hants Hie first of Utah's big game seasons is only about a month away, and many people are probably wondering what the procedures and deadlines for applications will be this year. Applications for antelope, moose, buffalo, and bighorn sheep are now available and need to be submitted before 5 p.m. July 28. A drawing to determine successful applicants will be held Aug: 4. The antelope season will be Sept 2 through 10. The cost of a resident antelope permit is $10 and the fee should not accompany the application. Fees for moose, buffalo, and bighorn must accompany the application. The archery hunt is set for Aug. 19 through Sept 4, through 8. Both of these special hunts will be statewide. archery permits nayt be purchased through the archery season, but muzzleload er permits must be purchased prior to Oct 21. The general deer season will begin Oct. 21, and will continue through Oct 31. The general deer season will be buck only with several antlerless permits being offered this year. Applications for antlerless permits are due by Sept 15, and the drawing will be on Sept 22. If an individual is successful in drawing an antler less permit he can still take a buck on his regular license. The antlerless deer must be taken during the general deer season of Oct 21-31.
