Michael developed a preference (obsession) for aviation art while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. His paintings have been displayed at air shows around the country and he is the "unofficial" artist of the Navy's Blue Angels. Michael's sister, Kathy Cooney, has provided much of the background material for this biography and concedes that she knows little else about her brother except that he likes Boulder Beer and lives in Durango, Colorado. His work can be seen at Moab Mercantile at the Grand Emporium. fit j.
