HOSPITAL: Allen Memorial Hospital needs adequate funding to keep its doors open. SOLUTION:Raise taxes? NO! DAVE BIERSCHIEDS positions regarding issues are: the following BUILDING THE ROAD TO VERNAL: We should let the State of Utah pay for a road that will accommodate tourists. We should let the Oil Companies pay for their own roads for the exploration and extraction of our natural resources. Use State PILT money for the schools. YES! Use mineral lease money for the hospital. YES1 ISSUE: ROAD TO VERNAL PURPOSE: An improved road will provide better access to Vernal and oil fields. SCHOOLS AND HOSPITAL: We should use our State PILT monies and the Mineral Lease monies to help finance the Schools and SOLUTION:Use mineral lease money to finance? NO! Let the Oil Companies and UDOT finance? YES! Hospitals. We should take care of the Basic Needs FIRST, with existing funding and let the people VOTE on special projects. ISSUE: MULTI-US- E Equestrian Center PURPOSE: This project will provide needed space for a EQUESTRIANMULTI-PURPOS- multitude of events. SOLUTION:Use our STATE PILT money to repay CIB loan? NO! E CENTER: The Voters of Grand County should have decided on how to finance a project of this magnitude. The County Commission should have let the Voters decide on the financing of this project through an election? YES! BIERSCHIED asks can you AFFORD Knutson? NO! Knutson says: Use STATE Money: $ 1 ,000,000 State PILT for Equestrian Center $6,000,000 Mineral Lease for Vernal Road RAISE TAXES for: Courthouse Rebuild Schools Hospital DOES BIERSCHIED MAKE SENSE FOR GRAND COUNTY?
