Coach Doug Parry commented, "For the first time since I have been at Dugway we were able to move people around up front. The offensive line consisting of Gary Smith, Larry Cole, Rhoad Shupe, Scott Groharing, Pat Day and Alan Harvey did a great job controlling the line of scrimmage. Parry added, "This line is the key to our success this season. Keith Brown and Rob Solomon did a fine job of reading blocks. Solomon led the team in rushing with 78 yards including a touchdown. Robert Argyle had a great game at split end. He also caught a touchdown pass. At the moment the team has two quarterbacks. Gus Magann and Troy Prather are both working on this tough position of leading the team. Defensively the Mustangs had a difficult time stopping the Longhorns early in the game, but once the down lineman Gary Smith, Larry Cole and Mike Wilson stayed home, Altamont was kept begin serving some of the best spaghetti west of the Mississippi.
