Show THE NOTSHELL The photographic evidence ACTUAL DRAMATIZATION. After Moab's own mail slot was closed forever (now loca! mail will be sent to Provo to be sorted and then sent back to Moab), The Zephyr tried to find anyone who would show some real righteous indignation and anger. Regrettably, Moabites don't do that anymore. BUT we were able to stage this actual dramatization of a Moab Citizen (played by KATHERINE KEMP) expressing her dissatisfaction to bewildered but accomodating postal employee JAY STOCKS. yas Sa eas DOG of the MONTH: We've honored racoons, lizards, birds... The Zephyr decided, "Why not JAKE?" Jake Morgan lives in Moab and dabbles in the silver commodities market. He once pretended to lock The Zephyr publisher's car with its keys inside it and everybody thought that was really funny. END OF AN ERA: Longtime Moabite and barber to the stars, PETE PETERSON sold his business last month and is now officially semi-retired (He still cuts hair a few days a week for those of us who would have gone into withdrawals had he quit cold turkey) Pete owned a barber shop in Moab for 42 straight years, second only to The Times-Independent for business longevity. He’s seen here giving another local legend a trim--NELDON LEMON. |
