Show ' C6 — The Herald Journal Logan Utah Sunday April 25 2004 Cache Volunteer Center Happenings sets up Join Hands Day Percussion concert Sharilee By Mark Baker and Guest The Cache Volunteer Center in Logan Utah received a $ (XX) Points or Light Com1 munity Collaboration Grant in connection with its Join Hands Day project on May Nationwide just five volunteer centers out of 360 in the Volunteer Center National Network received grants On Join Hands Day youth and adults huild relationships while they do something good to improve their own communities 1 ' Different generations work together on an equal basis to plan organize and implement the day's activities Join Hands pay is held annually on the first Saturday in May The Cache Volunteer Center y Join is developing an Hands Day Youth Summit for all high school age youth in the Northern Utah Region to be held at Mount Logan Middle School 850 N 2(X) Hast all-da- Logan It will be a fun day of learning service and socializing schedule with a workof a Through variety interactive group acliv-- i shops ' ities and service learning is reflection the summit well-plann- designed to develop leader- ship skills both generations about working together in youthadult partnerships It will also provide network- ing opportunities for the various groups to encourage collaboration and support for each other's projects The evening includes dinner a movie and a dance !
