Utah's campus opens its 1990-9- 1 exhibit season with "Where the Wild Things Arc: Art of the Imagination" Based on Maurice Sendak's book Where the Wild Things Are which describes a boy's imaginary journey into the night world of wild creatures the exhibition likewise is a journey into the imagination of several Utah artists The work explores the unknown regions of fantasy where wild creatures lurk CEU art professor James L Young explains die history of art is largely concerned with portraying objects as a tribute to man's reason but art has also been engrossed with the night world of dreams and visions that sec the light of day in paintings photographs drawings and prints "Utah artists have long been fascinated with the world of fantasy The growing popularity of psychology it's all about Campus Crusade has been active on the CEU campus the past three years It is headed by Marc Trujillo graduate of CEU Wilson Henderson physics professor and Dr Alfonso Trujillo mathematics and chemistry professor As an Christian organization Campus Crusade for Christ is concerned with spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and providing a support group for Christian students on campus It is active on most four year campuses and in several junior colleges Aside from the College of Eastern Utah Campus Crusade for Christ has active chapters at Utah State University University of Utah Brigham Young University and Weber State College Being a national organization Campus Crusade sponsors area conferences to bring students together from several different states CEU Campus Crusade will be par Portland Ore Aside from the Christmas Conference the CEU chapter is planning several activities Students will be traveling to Provo High School on November S to attend a concert by Michael Card a noted contemporary Christian artist and lyricist They will also be sponsoring a trip to see a Utah Jazz game sometime in November These activities arc open to any CEU student
