Show YtluiM 21 Number 10 CARBON COLLEGE PRICE UTAH DECEMBER 10 1954 Band Presents Concert “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay” To be Presented This morning the combined student body of Carbon was entertained by the band in its inital tuneup concert The program consisted of two solos one a trumpet solo by Barry Richards accompanied by the band and a piano solo by Dorinc Dugmore two heavy concert numbers “Overture Militaire” by from the theme by Joseph Hayden “Adagio Cantabile" by Beethoven one religious number “Panis Angelicus” by Cesar Franck and other numbers Two marches “Americans We” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever" concluded the program Conducting the concert was Alvin Wardle band Instructor He was assisted by Clifford Madsen student director Master of ceremonies was Allan Jacob Paris!! The gay exciting Paris of the twenties is the setting for the delightful comedy “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay” which is being produced by the high school advanced speech class under the direction of
