Show PAGE 7 Dadge City Nefus NOVEMBER Candidates for three county offices are running unopposed: Clerk/Auditor Paul Barton (Incumbent Democrat); Recorder Bruce County Brown (Incumbent - Democrat); County Attorney Leo Kanell (Incumbent Republican). Strong writein candidates on _ the November ballot are the only threat against victory for both Barton and Brown. Kanell faces the possibility of an entirely different scenario. According to the Utah Code Section 20-A-5503, if there is only one candidate for the Office of County Attorney, and if three or fewer eligible attorneys reside in the county (or district), the candidates name _ shall appear for retention on the ballot. All of that really Precinct B: Ross Marshall (Inc. - Rep.) Griffiths or Bradshaw (as determined by the Primary) opportunity to vote yes, we want the candidate in office, or no, we don't want him. If there are more "no" votes than "yes" votes, another candidate will be drafted. Voters might do well to consider that the alternate candidate DOES NOT have to be a Beaver County resident.
