Show Ephraim West W est Ways mays I MARION LEE Telephone A West Ward Sunday School class composed of the year 10 old boys and girls enjoyed a memorable trip to Salt Lake City recently The group was chauffeured by Meade Squire and Reed Nielsen and met their teacher Marie Thomson and two of her granddaughters in inthe Inthe inthe the city Highlights of the day included a visit to Temple Square the planetarium and to the Salt Lake Zoo A delightful delight delight- ful time was had by all West Ward Cub Scouts met together per cent last Thursday for a Halloween party pack meeting Cubs and their brothers and sisters dressed in costume for the evening and prizes were awarded aw to Mark Russell Ned and Jim Ockey for the most original funniest and scariest cos cos- The Cubs and families Joined in games and shared refreshments Mr and Mrs John Daniels had several guests at their home during the deer hunt weekend Relatives coming from out of town Included Mr and Mrs Paul Daniels and two sons Heber Mr and Mrs Robert Daniels and girls Bountiful Mrs Connie Baker and sons Magna Mrs Brenda Christensen Christen- Christen sen and daughters Salt Lake City Mr and Mrs Roy Daniels Daniels Daniels Dan Dan- and family Heber The Themen Themen Themen men spent the time hunting deer while the women enjoyed visiting at home Spending the weekend at the home of their parents Mr and Mrs LeRoy Peterson were Mr and Mrs Bert Carol Carpenter Carpen Carpen- ter and son Craig Mr and Mrs Richard Peterson and four children and Dee Rees Christensen Christensen Christensen Chris- Chris and son Tracy all of Salt Lake City Dee Rees' Rees wife and daughters visited in Moroni with relatives Dee and son Tracy had a successful deer hunt before the weekend was over Mrs Violet Jensen celebrated ed her birthday anniversary on October 16 with several friends who dropped in to wish her well on this special day Violet served luncheon to nine ladies after which the time was spent In visiting Several Ephraim ladies ladles and friends returned last week alter after spending ten delightful days touring Mexico Bly Ely Beal ZelIa Christensen Alice and Eva Thompson EPhraim were Joined by Orpha Carlson Carlson ManU Mantl Zeela Merrill Price Price sister of Mrs Beal Zetta Tuck er former Ephraim resident now living In Salt Lake City City and Gwen also former ly of Ephraim now living is in Springville The ladles ladies were part of a touring group who flew to Acu- Acu and then rode by bus north to Mexico City Many side trips were made to Indian ruins rules the ancient pyramids and other scenic and historic points The ladies ladles report that the weather was good and the temperatures Ideal They were favorably impressed im Ira pressed with the people of Mex ico leo and their culture The trip was fascinating and informs informal Uve tive and was doubly enjoyable because of the congeniality of the touring group Mr and Mrs Ward Olsen had all of their family home this past weekend Mr and Mrs Kent Olsen drove from Ogden and daughter Eileen came from Layton where she In completing completing completing ing her student teaching in home at a Layton Junior high school Eileen is enrolled at in Logan Another daughter Helen was home from her studies at BYu Also stopping in during the weekend were J.
