| Show ORAND GRAND TIME FOR SOLDIERS AT LOGAN I 1 logan did herself proud at the public reception tendered the members of company C utah light artillery in that city on saturday afternoon last A great many people from this city went over to participate in the festivities and they returned loud in their praise ot of the splendid hospitality of the temple city and the masterly manner in which t the lie reception was managed the alie program included a grand street parade of the soldiers mern members of the logan boasters Bo club and the brigham city commercial club and the general public a great open air meeting on the tabernacle square at which major B if roberts chaplain of the ill utah battery delivered a masterful address arid and tribute to both the soldier boys and their parents a royal banquet for the soldiers at the agricultural college a grand military band concert and a grand street ball music tor for which aas was furnished by the regimental band and the logan military band the farewell reception rece tion was arranged by the commercial Boost boasters boosters Bo erb club which means every citizen of logan and no expense was spared to make the function reflect the genuine admiration mi ration the home people have for the buys boys who have volunteered to fight for their country it was a royal occasion and the boys will have tho the pleasant remembrance of it to cheer them while on oil duty in some tar away place when hen conditions perhaps are not so pleasant |
