Show Former Buried At Logan Dr Carl 71 former director of the Extension Extension Extension Exten Exten- sion Service at Utah State University University Uni Uni- died after a long Ill Illness illness ill ill- ness Tuesday July 23 at his home Born February 25 1897 In Manti Mantl he was a son of Conrad and Elizabeth Frisch- Frisch knecht He married Geniel Lund May 23 1923 In the Manti Temple She died In August 1965 A veteran of World War I Dr graduated from Utah State Agriculture College now In 1924 and received his M. M A. A In 1925 He attended the University of Maryland and was awarded his Ph D D. D in 1945 He taught at Box Elder High School from 1925 50 1930 and was extension and acting dean of the College College College Col Col- lege of Agriculture He was appointed director of the Extension Service in 1948 a post he held until retirement in 1949 In 1949 he was ap appointed appointed appointed ap- ap pointed director emeritus of the Extension Service and director director director dir dir- ector of the summer school program in 1960 He was serving as director of the Department of Institutional Institutional Institutional Studies at the time of his death Dr was an ac active active active ac- ac tive member of the Church and had served in the bishopric of the Logan Fifth Ward and as a member of the high council of the Cache Stake He was a member of Rotary Club Cache County Chamber of Commerce and the Utah Farm Bureau Federation In 1957 he was awarded the Utah Medical Award of Merit and the U. U S S. S Department of Agricultures Agriculture's Distinguished Service Award Recipient of ofa a Certificate of Special Award from in 1962 he was wasa a member of Sigma Xi and Pi Kappa Phi honorary scholastic fraternities Survivors include three sons Ray P P. P Logan Dr Reed L L. L a professor of political science at the University of Utah Salt Lake City Lee C. C Glen Rock N N. N J. J six grandchildren two brothers Conrad Gunnison Wilford Manti and two sisters Mrs Peter L. L Elizabeth Peterson Peterson Peterson Pet Pet- erson Spring City and Mrs P.
