A Dean Ephraim will direct a string orchestra to accompany the production Helen Dyreng Manti Manta is assistant director The Mormon Miracle will begin at pm p.m. on Temple Hill with an audience of some 2500 people each night seated on chairs in the road beneath and also on the lawns by the Genealogical Building This years year's pageant will con con- tain taro two new scenes They will feature the Mormon Battalion and the Handcart Company The Mormon Miracle was written by a local author Miss Grace Johnson Ephraim Miss Johnsons Johnson's production has been used in various forms since she first read it U at the Centennial Conference of the Mutual Improvement Improvement Improvement Im Im- provement Association in Salt Lake City in 1947 It has been performed by the Institute of Religion in Salt Lake City and by Dr Harold Hansen of the Drama Department at Brigham Young University Recently the Oak Berkely-Oak- land Stake requested per permission permission s- s sion to use The Mormon Miracle Miracle Miracle Mira Mira- cle for radio missionary work However the South Sanpete Stake was the first to us use it as a scale full-scale production with music lights and a large cast I I I rP I i JOSEPH CRANE i i iI I t HARRY A.
