CITY PARK CITY BRIEFS ANOTHER BISHOP A baby girl, Abigail Carrie, was bom to Park City residents Terri and Mick Bishop on Friday, August 2nd, at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. Abigail weighed in at 8 lbs., 4 xk ounces. KERSHAW NO SHOW The failure of Rocky Mountain Productions to present the Doug Kershaw concert at the Opera House on Wednesday, August 7th, marked the end of any future RMP concerts in Park City, according to Opera House manager Dan Holvoet. Mr. Holvoet stated he had received no advance notice of the cancellation and, therefore, was as surprised as anyone when the performance did not come off. Although ruling out Rocky Mountain Productions, Mr. Holvoet did not eliminate the possibility that concerts could be staged by other promoters. BOWHUNTER COMPETITION DRAWS TO FINISH The 11th Annual Treasure Mountain Shoot, held at'the Park City Resort, ended on Sunday, August 10th, with an awards presentation. The competition transpired on four ranges located approximately one half mile from the Summit House. The mens high scratch score of 600 was posted by Jim Woodward. Womens scratch honors went to Judy Hallman with a 519 score. The handicap results for the men were: Robert Sandberg - 794; Charles Olsen - 769; Darwin Christensen -760; tylike Long 759; and Fred Toms - 752. The top five womens handicap scores were: Sharon Spencer 737; Deanne Fordham 734; Sherri Martindale - 724; Sheila Brown - 719; And Christy Wolfe - 718. Seven hundred and sixty-tw- o men and 82 women entered the shoot for a total of 844 bowhunters. -- -- -- SUMMIT COUNTY FAIR Many Parkites participated in the Summit County Fair held in Coalville August 9th and JOth. Many con- tributors of past years didnt enter this year, discouraged by the entrance fee. The committee hopes to change the fee for next year. So start creating now ! All those who did enter did well, winning many first place ribbons. Those in the flower category were: Bea Kummer, Lillian Wortley, Roxanne Toly, Steven Toly, and Mary Lou Tolv. In the arts and crafts category not only did Park City entrants win many first and second place ribbons, but PUZZLE INSTRUCTIONS This block of letters contains the names of twelve common flowers.
